Sage was born in Queens, NY but was raised in Fort Myers, FL. After high school, he moved two hours north to Tampa, FL to attend the University of South Florida where he met Jesus for the first time. He also met his best friend and wife, Mariah, while in Tampa. They now have four children: Roman, Cassie, Nathan, and Benjamin. Sage worked as a technical writer and risk manager while also serving as the Youth Director at his local church in Tampa. After four years of serving in that capacity, Sage’s desire to serve God vocationally was overwhelming. So God called Sage and his family to Cary, NC to pursue ministry training. A year after graduating with a Master of Theological Studies, God called Sage to Austin, TX to serve as one of the Church Planting Residents at The Well. Sage loves spending time with his kids and he and Mariah are big movie people. More than anything, the Rodrigos are passionate about making much of God and helping others do the same. They are excited for this season in Austin as they prepare to bring others into relationship with the Lord through a new church plant in Tampa, FL.
