Andersen grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma where she came to know the Lord at a before-school club, Kids for Christ. Her family and local church played a huge part in discipling her to grow in faith and knowledge of Jesus Christ. Her call to serve children and families began from an early age and continued throughout college through serving in her church and other ministries like Pine Cove Christian Camps and Cargo Ranch.  After graduating from Oklahoma Baptist University, she moved to Austin to pursue a career in education.

Andersen has had a career solely in education as a 1st and 2nd-grade teacher who also teaches art. Building relationships with children and families has been one of the greatest blessings in her life. Her experience growing up in the church has provided her with a perspective of how the Lord loves and calls children to himself and she desires to support Well Kids to genuinely pursue a relationship with Jesus Christ.

In her spare time, Andersen enjoys spending time with friends, being outside, or thrifting at all the local spots.
