God didn't save us so that we would have a slightly better heart. God's whole plan from the start has been to redeem the whole world to Himself (Gen. 3:15). If we can truly catch the vision of being a disciple and making disciples, we begin to impact everything and everyone around us (2 co. 5:17-21). As a church, we look to do this in a few ways:

SERVE THE CHURCH

The church is not built on the talents of a few, but the sacrifices of many. Every person has gifts and talents that if used to serve the church will make an eternal difference (1 Co. 12, 14, Rom. 12). We have several opportunities to serve currently at The Well. If you are interested in any of these, please fill out our Connect Form through the button below.

Fill out the section ‘I would like info on joining a serving team’ and then choose which ministry(s) you’re interested in, and someone from that ministry will get back to you with more details and how to get plugged in.

SERVE THE CITY

FOR 2022, OUR COMMUNITY GROUPS WILL FOCUS MOSTLY ON SERVING FOOD PANTRIES, SCHOOLS, THE HOMELESS, REFUGEES, AND FOSTER CARE FAMILIES IN THE CITY OF AUSTIN!

We see what the city could be. Like Israel, the church isn’t meant to be a blessing just for itself, but rather for everyone around them (Gen. 12:2, Jer. 29:7, Acts 6:1-3). We want to bless Austin so much that if our church were to disappear, we would be greatly missed because of the impact we have on this city, both in words and in deeds.

There are many ways we're seeking to serve throughout the city. Much of the serving happens through Community Groups (CGs) as they seek to consistently bless and partner with various organizations. Each CG has what we call a Missions Liasion who organizes serving opportunities for their group to participate in around the city. We desire to see the members of our church leading the way to serve their communities instead of relying on the Staff Team or Elders to plan serving events for them to attend. We see this model as a more sustainable way of serving -- equipping the saints for the work of the ministry and then empowering them to run forward with the specific passions or burdens their CG has for the city of Austin.

PLANT CHURCHES & SEND MISSIONARIES

One of our greatest desires is to see gospel multiplication happen. Wrapped in our vision is a desire to see 100 churches planted nationally and 100 churches planted internationally within the first 50 years of our existence as a church. We believe that churches planted in their specific context are the best way we can serve the world, as the church meets the needs of that community. Therefore, we're heavily involved in church planting and sending missionaries who are also focused on church planting to help reach the nations for the sake of the gospel, specifically those nations that do not yet have sufficient access to it.
