God’s Love

The Tough and Tender Love of God • Tory Mayo

Join us as we continue this fascinating book of Hosea looking this week at the tough and tender love of God. As Gomer goes into prostitution, leaving her husband, God draws the parallel and analogy that Israel has done the same with God. God, painting Himself as a Husband (which is fascinating in and of itself!) begins to show what he is going to do as a result of this. After showing what Israel's sin is doing to her, God does a ridiculous, overwhelming reversal. When God should punish, instead He pursues. And if we see that this story isn't just true for Hosea's original audience, but for us as well, it will forever change our perspective of God, and the way we live out our faith in Him. To receive love like this is almost too much for the soul. Join us as we study this together.

WELL SAID PODCAST • Jul . 22 . 2026

What are you still trying to overcome alone?

Most of us hear Recovery and think, “That’s for people with bigger problems than mine.” But the gospel tells a truer story: every disciple is being recovered from sin, shame, suffering, and selfreliance into life with Christ. Recovery isn’t a detour from discipleship, it’s discipleship applied to the very places sin, suffering, shame, and brokenness have distorted our identity, relationships, and dependence on Christ. In this episode, Tory and Mary are joined by Jessica, Tolu, and Jasmine to talk about Recovery at The Well and what happens when Jesus meets us in the places we’re tired of hiding. What are you still trying to overcome alone? Listener Note: This episode includes conversations about pornography, addiction, abuse, sexual immorality, and body dysmorphia. Some parts may feel especially heavy, so please listen with care.

OUR VISION

100. 100. 50.

Our vision is to plant 100 churches nationally, and 100 churches internationally in the first 50 years of being a church.

So far, we’ve planted 4 churches nationally and have sent 6 missionaries who are planting churches and sharing the gospel to those who have never heard.
