Our Serving Teams

Kids

From check-in to classroom, our team creates a safe, welcoming space for kids to know Jesus. Greeters welcome families and help new ones get connected. Buddies provide one-on-one support so every child feels included. Teachers lead Bible lessons and activities that help kids grow in faith. Coordinators manage teams and support volunteers. Team Leads guide Coordinators and help the whole ministry thrive.

Connections

Our Connections Team helps make The Well a place where people feel seen, loved, and invited in. Greeters serve twice a month, offering a warm welcome from the moment someone arrives to the moment they leave. Connectors serve weekly, helping people take next steps by inviting them to Community Groups, staffing the Connections Table, and following up with new guests. The Parking Team serves twice a month, guiding people in with clarity and care before they even reach the door.

Prayer Team

The Prayer Team serves on Sundays by covering our gatherings in prayer—both before the service and during ministry time. As a team member, you will join others in prayer for God’s presence to move powerfully, interceding on behalf of the church and individuals. In addition to Sundays, the team meets on Monday nights to pray over all the prayer requests submitted at The Well, standing in the gap for the needs of our church family. This team plays a vital role in cultivating a culture of dependence on the Holy Spirit at The Well. Serving on this team requires Covenant Membership at The Well.

Sunday Operations

The Sunday Operations Team makes church possible every week by turning everyday spaces into places of worship and welcome. From setting up chairs and curtains to guiding guests with clear signage, this team creates an environment where people can feel at home. Setup and Teardown teams handle the transformation of our space, while the Signs team places clear, welcoming signage across campus. The Safety team stays alert to help everyone feel secure, and the Logistics team fills in wherever help is needed. Together, they make Sundays run smoothly from start to finish.

Creative Media Team

The Creative team helps with photography and videography that helps communicate the vision and mission of the Well.

One Place Ambassadors

At The Well we believe that our Community Groups (CGs) are not just a place we go to, but a place we are sent from! So, to help us live out our mission and vision as a church we ask each CG to have a One Place Ambassador—someone who advocates for their community group to live find a place where they can serve throughout the week! Visit thewellaustin.com/place to learn more!

Recovery

The Recovery Team supports those walking through healing and freedom in Christ. Recovery Mentors meet one-on-one to guide others through the 12 steps of recovery with weekly support and encouragement. Recovery Leaders facilitate weekly groups, drawing from their own experience after completing our step study process. Both roles walk alongside others with humility, hope, and care.

+

Disiciple Making Cohort Leaders

Our missions team lead classes called DMC’s (Disciple Making Cohort’s), which are 10-week cohort-style trainings where you are taught how to share the gospel and practice sharing the gospel in any context. A DMC leader guides others to join God’s mission through discipleship materials, weekly prayer, and growing confidence in sharing the gospel in everyday life.

+

Students

The Well’s Student Ministry meets weekly during the 11 a.m. gathering in Eastside’s upstairs lobby that include games, interactive Bible study (Discovery Bible Study method), gender-based small groups, and large group prayer. On the last Sunday each month, students join their families for Family Sunday while volunteers connect over brunch for updates. Volunteers must be covenant members and pass a background check.

+

Worship

Serves the church by singing or playing in the band and leading the congregation in worship. Frequency depends on skill and need in this area, and training times are set by the worship director. Volunteers must audition and have skill in a specific area, and the worship director will work with them to develop in that area.

+

Setup and Tear Down

The Setup team turns a high school gym into a welcoming space for worship. Every chair, cord, and curtain helps create a place where people can gather and connect. The Teardown team packs everything up after the Sunday morning gatherings.
