Love, Even to Death • Tory Mayo

Join us as we continue our series in Revelation. Today we zoom into Jesus' personal letters to the churches, looking at the first two churches, Ephesus and Smyrna. These are two churches heading in opposite directions. Externally, the one that seems to be thriving is internally dying, and the one that is externally dying is internally thriving. What does this tell us about our own spirituality and our own church, The Well? How might we apply this ancient truth to our lives and churches? Join us as we worship through this Text together.

Why can't we change?

"For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate" ( ESV). And so do we. So why doesn't knowing the right thing actually change us? In this episode, Tory and Mary explore attachment theory and neuroscience to show that character isn't built by right belief or willpower alone, it's built by what we're attached to. Does God actually attach Himself to us, not just love us as a character trait, but bind Himself to us? And if so, can we become so attached to Him that we start responding like Jesus without even trying? OUR VISION

100. 100. 50.

Our vision is to plant 100 churches nationally, and 100 churches internationally in the first 50 years of being a church.

So far, we’ve planted 6 churches nationally and have sent 4 missionaries who are planting churches and sharing the gospel to those who have never heard.

OUR VISION

How we’ll
achieve our vision

We believe that God will do amazing things
through the people of our church to
accomplish God’s vision for us.
