Jason grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and came to faith at a young age. He received the call to ministry while at youth camp and met his wife, Tiffany, at Oklahoma Baptist University, where they both served in campus ministry. After graduating, they moved to Texas to attend Dallas Theological Seminary,where Jason received a Master of Theology degree and began a Ph.D. program. Jason served for 14 years at Irving Bible Church in Dallas, TX, and is an experienced teacher, pastor, and ministry leader of thriving NextGen and adult ministries.

At the end of 2022, the Steins moved to Austin to begin a new season of ministry here at The Well. Jason and Tiffany have two precious children: a son, David (now with the Lord,) and a daughter, Emma Ruth. In his free time, Jason enjoys reading theology books, listening to podcasts, hiking, drinking black coffee, improving his lawn, and snacking on Goldfish crackers.
