Walker Burns
Elder
Walker’s story is one of God’s persistent pursuit. Though he attended church sporadically as a child, his life changed in middle school when he encountered the gospel through a youth group. It was there he came to know Jesus personally, moving from a life of performance to one shaped by relationship.
Despite struggles with a cycle of sin and shame through high school and college, Walker continued to seek Christ. During a church internship, he found freedom through deep fellowship, confession, and repentance. Yet challenges returned in isolation after graduation, particularly during his first years of marriage to Allyson.
When Walker and Allyson joined The Well, he was convicted to bring his sin into the light. Through confession, discipleship, and participation in a group called 7 Pillars, he experienced lasting freedom from shame and grew in vulnerability and community. He now lives a life marked by repentance, deep friendships, and ongoing trust in Jesus’ pursuit of him.
At The Well, Walker has served on the Greeting Team for seven years and as a leader in the Purity Ministry since its inception.
