Psalm
The Lord our Shepherd
ABOUT THE SERIES
In this series, we journey through the rich promises of Psalm 23 to see how Jesus, our Good Shepherd, lovingly cares for His people. From providing and keeping us, to guiding us through the darkest valleys, to healing our hearts and leading us into peace—He is with us every step of the way. Like sheep, we are needy and dependent, but our Shepherd is faithful, strong, and tender. Through every trial and every joy, He is both our comforter and deliverer. As we reflect on all He has done in our lives and in our church, we are invited to trust Him more deeply, rest more fully, and walk with confidence knowing that the Shepherd is near.

Our Keeper & Provider
In this sermon we focus on the first verse of Psalm 23, and see how God is our Keeper and Provider. Both of these things can be hard to believe (especially in the midst of trials), and hard to receive. To know it is one thing, to walk in this truth is another. How can we receive God's provision? What do we do when we feel like it isn't there? What does it really mean that He keeps us, and how can we experience this?

Our Peace & Healer
We are a needy people just like sheep. What is universal about sheep is that they NEED a shepherd. The Shepherd creates an environment that dispels all fear SO THAT the sheep can lie down and rest. HE makes, HE leads, HE restores. It is Jesus, our Good shepherd doing ALL the work here! Join us and hear how our Good Shepherd, Jesus, is our peace and healer. We are a needy people just like sheep. Our Guide & Glory
In this sermon we focus on Jesus being our Guide & Glory. At times we're hurting, broken, in need of healing, not because of things done by others, or by the world around us, but done by us. We stray off the path and find ourselves in desert lands with dead grass and a broken soul. The Shepherd's voice calls though. We can try to find our way back or be found by Him, and then walk in His righteousness for His glory and our redemption. If you're weary, come back to the gentle strong voice who restores.

Our Deliverer & Comforter
This sermon focuses on the Shepherd as our deliverer and comforter. When the trials, the valleys, the lows, death, despair, and suffering come, how do we find our way through the valley and out of it? David recenters our hearts on healing throughout this passage and gives us direction forward.

Our Provider & Victory
This sermon explores Psalm 23, emphasizing that God's provision goes deeper, tackling our greatest enemy: spiritual death and separation from God, represented by the veil in the tabernacle. This ultimate victory is achieved through Jesus, the "bread of life," who was pierced for our transgressions, tearing the veil and offering eternal life to those who believe. The core message encourages listeners to experience God's provision and victory personally, not just acknowledge it intellectually, and to live in light of the hope that Christ has conquered death and is preparing a place for believers in heaven.

Our Priest & Blesser
In this sermon we are looking at Jesus as our Priest and Blesser. Why are we so afraid to say that God blesses us, and to look for God's blessings? Do we theologically want to stay away from the ills of the prosperity gospel? Are we afraid He's going to let us down? And what do we do with the suffering that is sure to come, how does this align? Whatever it is, the Scriptures are clear, God blesses His children, and we are to look for His blessings and receive them. Join us as we focus on the priestly nature of Christ and the fact that God blesses us, immensely, in Christ. For this, He is worthy of eternal praise.

Our Goodness & Reward
In this sermon, we focus on Christ as our Goodness and Reward. David was deeply convicted (as are we!) that life NOW is better in Christ, and life THEN is better in Christ as well. Though suffering may come, there's deep beauty in life in Christ, and we should receive comfort from this.

Celebration Sunday
In this sermon we celebrate the many things God is doing in the life of our church and the many things He's done in our individual lives throughout our Psalm 23 series! As we exit this Psalm, we want to look back and remember His goodness, and look ahead to cement the truths we reflected on.
