In this sermon we will focus on the ultimate vision of the church, the vision of this series, and where we feel like God is leading us overall. We will give a big level picture of where God has brought us from, and what He is calling us towards as a church family.

In this sermon we will be focusing heavily theologically about one of our core-convictions, that Christ is central in everything! While people hear the centrality of Christ in every sermon, we will aim to help them see why this matters, and how His name is central not just on Sundays, but in and through our whole lives.

In this sermon we take special attention to show that the gospel is the answer for every situation in life, and the more we grow familiar in preaching the gospel to ourselves and to others, the more we’ll see the power of the gospel at work!

We want to be a church that is Spirit-Empowered. This means walking in, submitting to, and growing in our relationship with the Holy Spirit. Because the Spirit’s role is to “make much of Jesus,” it is only right that we learn how to be filled with the Spirit, that we’d do this better as well.

In this sermon we’ll be addressing reaching the lost, the first part of discipleship. One of our desires as a church is to grow in effective witness to the world around us, seeing more and more people come to know Christ. Understanding not just why this is important, but also giving us courage to learn is important here!

As a church, we will never get to where we need to go unless the saints are equipped, doing what God has called them to do, sacrificially, and reproducing this same thing into others. The call here though isn’t just our own personal equipping, but also multiplication; that’d we’d each be pouring into others, helping them see who they are in Christ as well.

Our equipping and our growth happens best in the context of community. Not only this, but we long to be a diverse community, that represents our true home!

One of the primary ways we can really impact the world is to serve the church. Giving our lives to the church helps us all collectively do something that individually no one can do. The smallest act then becomes one that could be world changing in and through the local church.

The Well’s desire is to plant 100 churches in the first 50 years as a church. We today get to celebrate sending our first one! This will be a pivotal time to point forward to what God is calling us towards, while celebrating the beautiful moment in front of us with Josh and his core-team.

This is the last portion of the “vision” of our church, seeing 100 missionaries sent out. It will be good to look at what we’ve already done (4 missionary units), but also look forward into what God is calling us still to do, pointing forward towards a picture of what is to come if each of us individually is obedient to this call. You’re either mission field, or missionary! And regardless of whether or not we end up overseas, each of us is called to participate in God’s grand redemption plan!
