At The Well we desire to equip the body of Christ to push back darkness in Austin, our nation, and internationally. We want to raise up gospel-centered leaders within our church family, through an internal and multi-faceted leadership pipeline, and our Residency Program is one of the major inputs to that pipeline. 

Through The Well’s Residency Program, we want to help brothers and sisters in Christ explore ministry, and the calling God may have on their life. We desire to give practical ministry experience while also creating curriculum for Residents throughout the Program for spiritual growth and formation. 

 

 Week (35-40 hrs) 

• Specific Ministry Area (25-30 hrs) 
• Vocational Discernment and/or Spiritual and Theological Development Curriculum (10 hrs
• Optional Seminary Credit Hours (5 hrs)

 

Additional Time Commitments

• Weekly Check-Ins and Quarterly Reviews with Ministry Manager
• Attend Staff Team Meetings
• Participate in a 10-week Discipleship Making Intensive
• Attend a Community Group

Serve in and attend Sunday Gatherings

 

Residency Expectations

Within the Residency Program we expect individuals to commit to growing in the following areas:

• Personal devotional life including personal Bible reading, worship, and prayer 
• Biblical character and integrity in every aspect of life
• Pursuing personal and relational wholeness
• Missional living and evangelistic zeal 
• Disciple-making and raising up others 
• Biblical financial stewardship and generosity 
• Servant leadership in ministry areas 
• Global awareness for reaching the lost 
• Biblical decision-making
• General alignment to the life and teachings of Jesus and the scriptures
