Advent: Future Glory
ABOUT THE SERIES
Advent is a time that Christians have historically used to remember and celebrate Jesus’ birth; that God came to dwell amongst us. It is also a time Christians look forward to what is to come, that we will one day arrive and reign with Him. Advent is from a Latin word that simple means coming, or arrival. We celebrate that Jesus came and that He will one day come again. This year, rather than focusing on His past coming, we want to focus on His future coming, the Advent we currently find ourselves in. These past few seasons have reminded us more than ever that earth is not our home, therefore we should look for a better one.

Building Up
As we think back, but also look ahead, it is helpful for us to remember how we got here, and how we're going to move forward. The church is not built on the talents of a few, but the sacrifices of many. In order to see this more, we need to continue to build up the church of Christ together!

Gifted
In this sermon we talk about how God has gifted you. We'll talk about the reason for your gifts, answer the question "are any gifts better than another," and why the church needs you. The desire is to see God use you in your gifts so that Christ is exalted, disciples are made, and our city, nation, and the world would be restored back to Jesus.

Future Hope
In this sermon we talk about Christ as our Future Hope. There are many things we hope in, and we often find turmoil, trouble, or chaos in our soul when our hope fails us (because those things fail us!). However, Christ is our hope. This is a simple sentence, but with powerful implications. How can we live in this hope? The solution is easy, but the application is lifelong. Join us as we pursue making Christ our hope together.

Perfect Peace
In this sermon we focus on Christ our Perfect Peace. Our definition of peace is skewed, so at times we don't even realize how amazing of a thing the gospel offers. Jesus doesn't just give the absence of conflict or comfort, He gives shalom, peace. And while this world only gives us small glimpses, at the Second Advent this peace is fully realized. It is this peace we should look forward to, long for, and allow it to influence how we live our lives today.

Love Stoops
In this sermon, we talk about how love stoops. Jesus told us there's no greater love than to lay one's life down and in his birth, we see this sacrificial love perfectly displayed for all humanity."

Deeper Joy
In this sermon we focus on the beauty and joy of Christmas. Christ brings us and wants for us joy everlasting, how do we live in this in the midst of the fallen world? Christ's birth, ascension, and soon coming is a key, as He Himself embodied this and gives us His Spirit to allow us to do the same.

Reframing The Valleys
In this sermon, we talk about how to navigate the spiritual low-points or spiritual valleys that we may experience as a result of spiritual failure. We'll be asking and answering two questions: How does God see us when our response to a spiritual failure is to grow distant from him and how does God desire to use our failures and spiritual valleys they often cause?
