Garrett was born in Austin but raised mostly in the Chicagoland area. He met his bride, Anne, as a student at the University of Texas at Austin. Upon graduation, life took them to Dallas for Anne to pursue a master's degree in Speech Pathology. Garrett spent those years working in the home building industry and attending Dallas Theological Seminary. After a couple of years in the Dominican Republic working for a faith-based non-profit, the couple returned to Austin where Garrett owns and operates a home building company.

They are the proud parents of 3 amazing kids and have called the Well their church home since 2017.  When not working Garrett loves spending time outdoors with his family, playing hockey, and cheering on the Cubs!
