BOB & MARTHA ROBBINS

Sampa Church

The Robbins, our first International Church Planters, have been serving in São Paulo, Brazil since October, 2015. Their ministry journey began in youth ministry in the West Texas area for the first 10 years into their marriage. They then jumped into church planting in 1999 in Madison, WI., and continued ministry in Durham, NC., Edwardsville, IL., and Austin, TX.

They have been with Communitas International since 2015, and moved to São Paulo, Brazil in June, 2016 to plant Sampa Church. Sampa Church partners with a non-profit in São Paulo called IBTE. They serve kids in a poor, high drug, and crime infested area of the city, known as Cracolandia. They teach basic life skills, have a variety of classes, feed hot lunches, and share the love of Christ with hundreds of kids.

They enjoy hanging out with their adult children when they come back to visit the States, eating out, finding cool places around the city, and watching college basketball (mostly Duke!).
