Paul is originally from Stillwater, Minnesota where he grew up on a farm with his five siblings. He attended college in Winona, MN where he met and later married his incredible wife Laurie. They have three adult sons, three "answer to prayer” daughter in laws, and the best part - six grandkids that they cannot see enough of!

A job transfer brought Paul and his family to Austin, TX where they became members of Hill Country Bible Church and later served as part of the staff team (where Laurie is still working).  It was at Hill Country that Paul and Laurie connected with the vision of Church Planting and brought them into contact with Tory, Nathalie, and the Well where they have been members and serving for the last six and a half years. Paul retired from his secular job a year and a half ago and is now looking forward to his next season of life by being a part of the Well staff team.

Paul and Laurie look forward to spending time with family, gatherings with friends, Aggie football games, exploring central TX in their 1971 Oldsmobile convertible, and living out the gospel in their everyday lives.  They believe that God has and will continue use The Well, our church plants, and missionaries to bring the love of Jesus Christ to Austin and the world!​
